Item Description
19.75x24" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 10-3/8x13" area w/India ink and watercolor image w/"Take Me To Your Leader" inked title on archival mat below art. Single panel cartoon art was published in Vol. 6, #2 Feb. 1959 issue of "Playboy" magazine. Art features six-piece jazz band looking at seventh man, a comical-looking beatnik type holding trombone case. Lower right has been signed by Jack Davis. Top margin has some scattered small spots of staining, but this is not too distracting as matted. Image area is bright and Exc. Every bit as colorful and detailed as it was published. Comes w/worn reading copy of the issue of "Playboy" magazine that this cartoon was published in. Humorous Davis art.
