Item Description
26.25x31.25" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 18.25x23" mixed media image used as the cover for Warren Publishing "Wildest Westerns" #4 magazine published Jan. 1961. Art shows cowboy on horseback (w/"U.S. Bank" money bags) being pursued by "M Squad" police car w/that show's star Lee Marvin hanging out window. Mat has etched brass plaque below art that reads "I Know You're A Good Cop...But Ain'tcha On The Wrong Set?" which was what the final published cover had cowboy saying as he's being pursued. Art has been signed in ink by Davis at bottom center and comes w/4x6" color photo of the artist in his studio holding this original. Exc. Framed and ready for display.
