Item Description
6-7/8x25.5” thin art board has 5.25x22.25” India ink image area for Nov.4 w/Felix in all four panels. He’s w/two stereotypical natives. One is a tailor and has made a topcoat, but the new owner tips his top hat and runs off without paying. Felix yells “Stop!!” and fires a pistol. The shots obviously don’t quite hit their mark. Panel four has the thief coming back and cursing, saying “Now Just For That, I’m Gonna Make You Sew Buttons On to Match These Holes” as Felix and the tailor look startled. Art is signed in ink “Pat Sullivan”, but all art is pure Otto Messmer. Complete w/Newspaper Feature Service syndicate sticker in panel two. Blank margins have lt. dust soil, trace of blue pencil under drawing in a few panels as done by the artist. Will frame to near Exc. appearance. Well drawn example by the animator who created Felix for the Pat Sullivan studio.
