16.25" long wood bat w/imprinted team name. Bat is signed by 14 players in ballpoint pen. Signatures are: "Rea" Barney, Lorraine Fisher, Alice Haylett, Tex Lessing, Dot Satterfield, Lefty Voyce, Millie Earp, Caity Olinger, Pepper Paire, Betty Petrina, Gig Smith, Connie Wisniewiski, Ziggy Ziegler, Barbara Sowers. Bat has adhesive tape on handle added long ago which is not an issue. All signatures remain strong, bat is VF overall. This professional baseball team was based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1945 to 1954, winning championships in 1947 and 1953. Players of the Year included Connie Wisniewiski in 1945 and Alma Ziegler in 1950. League pitching titles were won by the Chicks in 1944 and 1945 with Wisniewiski, Mildred Earp in 1947, Alice Haylett in 1948, and Ziegler in 1950. All have signed this bat. A great piece of female baseball history. Comes with Hake’s COA and JSA LOA.
