Item Description
5.5x7.25x7.25" tall nicely-designed high quality lacquered wood radio, 1930s. On the front at each corner are attached aluminum pieces with character images of Minnie, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. At bottom center is triangular attachment that reads "Emerson Radio And Television/©Walt Disney." Also has nice die-cut aluminum grille plate depicting Mickey playing a bass and behind this is the original fabric speaker cover. Radio no longer works but internal parts are complete and has original electric cord with plug. Back panel has additional "Emerson" metal plate with serial number. The two knobs are original but both have some scattered chipping to inner rim edge not visible when viewed straight-on. The aluminum pieces at knobs have some wear to the black accents with some of the numerals gone, character images on corner attachments remain distinct. Left side has a 2x4.5" wood panel replaced. Overall still a Fine example for display of this classic Mickey item. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
