In the 1930s Edgar Bergen and his ventriloquist partner Charlie McCarthy were as popular as anything else around. Dominating radio, this transferred over to print, film and all as aspects of pop culture. This lot includes: Chase & Sandborn coffee premiums 20" tall die-cut cardboard figures w/movable mouths/eyes of Charlie and Mortimer Snerd, C&S "Radio Party Game, "Flying Hats" game, Rummy card game, match book cover, "Talking" greeting card and 4x5" movie herald for "Goldwyn Follies." All items are complete as issued. Scattered wear/age but overall lot is mostly Fine to Exc. An instant collection.
