Item Description
Approx. 9.25x30.5" thin artboard w/India ink original art by Mutt And Jeff creator Bud Fisher. Art is for 1922 strip No. 272 and features five panels, w/both Mutt and Jeff as policemen. Mutt shows enthusiasm, vowing to wipe out ongoing crime wave. Jeff motions to robber standing behind Mutt, who pulls gun, causing Mutt to run away. Mutt appears in every panel, Jeff appears in last four. Fisher has signed last panel. Fourth panel has copyright strip. Artboard has been rolled and has pin holes at bottom corner and bottom center. Fourth panel has some lt. scattered aging. Art remains clean and VF. From the Estate of Disney Artist Earl Duvall, known for his work on Disney comic strips in the early 1930s and for a handful of animated short films he directed at Warner Bros. Cartoons.
