Item Description
Pen and ink original art for complete six-page story published by in "Speed Comics" #36 by Family Comics in 1945. Art is by Ed Wheelan and was for World War II "Padlock Homes" story in India, w/Homes riding elephants before taking to airfield where he gets ride from one of the Flying Tigers only to be attacked by Japanese Zeros. Villains Green Ghost and "Infamous Four" Japanese soldiers travel by mini-sub to kill the Professor. Of note, Japanese are depicted in politically-incorrect manner of the era. Artboards each measure approx. 11x14.5" and show some scattered dust soiling and edge/corner tip wear. VF overall. Dan Makara Collection.
