Item Description
The original art offered here is from the first of two "Straight Arrow" comic strips, a daily strip that ran from June 19, 1950 to Aug. 4, 1951. Gardner Fox and Ray Krank wrote the strip, w/art by Joe Certa (pencils) and John Belfi (inks). The second, a Sunday strip, ran from Sept. 7 to Dec. 7, 1953 and featured a different artist. "Men Vs. Women!" strip features three panels, showing Native American women warriors battling Native America men w/warclubs. Certa and Belfi have signed last panel. Top margin has inked strip/story titles and bottom margin has penciled printer notation. Pin holes at top corners but art remains clean and Exc. Dan Makara Collection.
