Item Description
Pair of signs issued 1947-1948 to promote premium house models issued by Kellogg's. 16x21-5/8" single-sided paper sign featuring images of family looking over model home w/images of three example models at lower left. Lower right features images of Kellogg's "Shredded Wheat" and "All-Bran" cereals, which is how models were obtained (w/box top and 15¢). ©1947. Sign notes kits contained "Full Color Scale Model, Complete Sketch Plans, Landscape Chart-Floor Plan." Folded into quarters w/some small splits at edges along fold lines, but o/w Fine/VF. 14x20" single-sided paper sign featuring images of Cary Grant and Myrna Loy overlooking drawing of the titular "Mr. Blandings Dream House," which was offered for 35¢ and Kellogg's "All-Bran" cereal box top. ©1948 and based on the 1948 comedy "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" directed by H.C. Peter. Based on the early "Modern Homes" premium, it includes full color scale model of the "Dream House," complete sketch plans, floor plans, elevations and interior suggestions as well as landscape chart. Sign has unused price blank at bottom right corner. Horizontal fold at center w/some scattered wear along fold line. VF. Both signs are rare. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
