Item Description
Lot includes prototype sign for premium and actual premium w/envelope for similar concept proposed for two different companies - Crosley and Lever - and similar to the premium advertised on a pair of signs promoting a Kellogg's premium, item #2168. c. 1950s. 17-1/8x34.5" vellum sheet that has been cut out and mounted to another sheet has colorful mixed media original art for proposed premium sign advertising "Crosley 4 Room Model Ranch Style Doll House Complete With Furniture." Pair of children at lower left hold furniture and doll house is wonderfully illustrated. Hand-lettered text notes "Lithographed In Full Color! Easy To Assemble! No Cutting - No Pasting - Loads Of Fun!" text further notes premium came w/"The Crosley Happy Family" figures. Some of the doll house's features are also noted, including "4 Complete Rooms That Fit Together... 1. Kitchen 2. Living Room 3. Dining Room 4. Bedroom" at lower right. Sheet has multiple vertical creases and some edge creases to top of die-cut area. Fine overall. Comes w/10-3/8x13.25" plain envelope w/all pencil original art noting it as containing "Lever 'House Beautiful' Doll House With Furniture." Comes w/two folded cardstock sheets that also have pencil outlines for doll house pieces. Envelope has moderate handling wear and is Fine while sheets are Exc. Unique lot.
