Item Description

Pair of thin artboards; 11.5x14.5" and 14x15" w/pen and ink original art by "Sad Sack" creator George Baker for Harvey Publications. "Sad Sack And The Sarge" #6 (June 1958) cover art features pen and ink image Sad Sack hiding under bed to avoid K.P. Duty, only for Sarge to step on his hand. Top margin has some pencil sketches (one of which is scribbled out) and margins have some editorial notes. Top center has small staple w/pinholes along top margin and staple holes at bottom corners. Fine overall w/Exc. art. "Harvey Hits - Sad Sack's Army Life" #28 (Jan. 1960) cover art has Sad Sack parachuting and landing on General Rockjaw statue, breaking it as the General looks on in anger. Scattered editorial notations along margin w/some corner tip wear. VF w/Exc. art.
