Item Description
10-1/8x14-1/8" artboard featuring pen and ink original art w/screentone accents depicting several "Little Lulu" characters as X-Men. Art was created by Larry Blake, whose work has been in print since 1973. Blake has won an Lifetime Achievement Award at the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo, having drawn every kind of character, from Little Lulu to KISS. He's worked in multiple genres: superheroes, humor, sci-fi, funny animals, even romance and manga. Art depicts Little Lulu as Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat w/Tubby as Professor X and other characters portraying the rest of the New X-Men - Storm, Colossus, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Wolverine. Blake has signed art at bottom left, adding "'82" date. Lower right has hand-lettered X-Men and 1982 Marvel copyright. Artboard has even aging and back has piece of tape by Blake's name/address. Art remains clean and displays Exc. Clever crossover.
