Item Description

10.25x20.25" frame contains artboard w/pen and ink original art w/screentone accents by "Bloom County" creator Berke Breathed. "Bloom County" was a comic strip that ran 1980-1989 and examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America, where children often have adult personalities and vocabularies and where animals can talk. Strip is undated, w/"197" notation at top center in red colored pencil. Strip features four panels on pre-printed panel layout w/strip title and Breathed's name pre-printed. Strip cover romances between Quiche Lorraine and Steve Dallas, as well as Bobbi Harlow and Cutter John.  Milo appears as cupid in first panel and Opus is shown by himself in last panel, w/text noting he's "Still Available." Each panel has hand-lettered text in marker w/a few paste-over text corrections. Bobbi's face has redrawn paste-over as well. Exc.
