Item Description
19" tall figure w/wooden arms/legs and painted composition body and head. Designed by artist Maxfield Parrish, character's name is "Bandy." Manufactured by Cameo Doll Co. for store display purposes w/slotted hands that held advertising cards. c. 1930s. Partial small Cameo decal on underside of one foot. "GE - General Electric Radio"and "GE" decals on hat and collar have some small flakes, but majority of text remains. Baton and belt are replacements, but this display close to original. Original oil cloth chin strap shows lt. wear. Composition head and body show scattered typical wear w/wear at collar including .5" crack. Figure easily displays upright. Fine overall.
