Item Description
16" tall figure w/wooden arms/legs and painted composition body and head. Manufactured by Cameo Doll Co. for store display purposes w/slotted hands that held advertising cards. c. 1930s. Mascot for Hotpoint appliances, a company founded in 1911 that merged w/General Electric in 1918. Figure has "H" molded composition hat on head. "Hotpoint" decal on chest shows just lt. wear. Typical craze lines to composition head. Scattered lt. wear/aging but still bright, glossy and VF. Nice advertising item.
