Set of 32 stiff paper cards, each 8x10" in 8.75x10.75" stiff paper sleeve w/text reading "Merry Christmas From J.V. Connolly And His Associates Of King Features Syndicate Inc." Moderate handling wear to sleeve, w/2.75" split at spine bottom. VG/Fine. Each card has wonderful specialty art done for this promotional item that was mainly sent to newspaper editors. Characters include - Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Dale Arden from Flash Gordon, Lone Ranger on Silver, The Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Prince Valiant, Maggie and Jiggs, Popeye w/The Jeep, Krazy Kat and Friends, Barney Google and Snuffy Smith, Blondie and Dagwood, Tillie the Toiler, The Little King, Katzenjammer Kids, Henry, X-9, Tim Tyler, King of the Royal Mounted, Judge Puffle, Just Kids, Toots and Casper, Santa Claus (including one showing him carrying sack w/Mickey Mouse, Popeye and other comic character toys), Uncle Sam, Native Americans, cartoon featuring image of Hedy Lamarr and others. Cards are lightly aged, but NM overall. One of the nicest KFS promo items ever produced.
