Item Description
Complete set of three 10" 78-rpm records, issued in illustrated outer sleeve marked "K-28" w/individual Decca sleeves within. Records are individually numbered 3996-3998. © Superman Inc. 1940s. Outer sleeve features great illustration of Superman landing at North Pole w/Santa Claus as elves dance in foreground. Sleeve has lt. even aging and shows moderate handling wear w/trace insect damage under Superman's raised arm, a tiny hole just visible. Flap on reverse has more moderate insect damage w/.25x.75" hole. VG. Outer sleeve is very rare as it was easily destroyed by the heavy records it contained. Records feature "Superman's Christmas Adventure" by the Superman Players under direction of Jack Johnstone. Records show very little wear, all w/shiny and clean surfaces. Exc. and as nice as these come. Among the rarest and most desirable of all character record sets. Franco Toscanini Collection.
