Item Description
Art boards range in size from 8.5x10.25” to 10.25x13” w/original pen and ink art by creator George Baker. Art is for Harvey Publications "Sad Sack" comics #47 June 1955, #54 Jan. 1956, #61 Aug. 1956, and # 65 Dec. 1956. Scenes include: beating large “Army Band” drum w/Sarge resting on front, jumping through tent roof as skunk enters, dog Muttsy begging to go out in rain, standing guard in blizzard outside USO dance. First three are signed in ink “George Baker” at bottom. A few margin pencil notes, #65 has a few lt. glue marks at top and bottom of image area, otherwise image areas will mat and frame to near Exc. appearance. Well drawn and funny.
