Item Description
17.25" long mostly tin litho and plastic rifle w/rubber barrel tip/sight. Made in Japan by Tada, c. 1966. Exclusive to the Japanese market. One of two different designs produced in this size/style but both w/totally different images/details. This depicts great detailed image of Batman punching while standing beside Robin on stock. Stock also has "Batman" name in Japanese and intricately designed main body of gun has batsymbol. Translucent red plastic ridged portion of barrel allows user to see spark, however this function no longer works though gun still makes loud rat-tat-tat noise. Scattered paint nicks/scratches w/luster loss to metal trigger. Fine overall. Superbly designed. Very rare, w/few examples known to exist. This is only the second example of this rare Japanese toy we have offered in our 47 years, the last example selling for
$1,075.
