Item Description
11.5" long tin litho battery-operated Batmobile made in Japan by Alps, c. 1966. This version was styled after General Motors' Firebird III concept car and features great lithography of two bats on top surface of car, which also has two sections in back w/red/green translucent plastic panels. Lithography also includes detailed cockpits w/Batman and Robin's bodies as well as detailed controls. Batman and Robin each have separate tin litho heads w/vinyl cowl on Batman and brown cap on Robin. Separate tin litho compartment in front of Robin in hood lifts up to reveal gun that lights. Rubber tires. Actions include bump-and-go, firing noise, gun lights and back lights. All function. Batmobile has some lt. scattered wear in the form of tiny nicks/scratches but remains bright, glossy and Fine. Scarce.
