Item Description
10x12" sheet of two pieces of animation paper taped together as originally produced. Sheet has extremely atmospheric rough storyboard art of the Witch's final scene in 1937's "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs," in which she's trapped at the top of a mountain as the Dwarfs and forest animals chase her. Primarily done in heavily shaded pencil, there are two full body images of the Witch; one in lead pencil looking down the path towards her pursuers and another in orange colored pencil showing her looking over the edge of the cliff in alarm. Situated between the two images is the large boulder she attempts to cast down on the Dwarfs. A large bolt of lightning can be seen in bkg., perhaps serving as a warning to the bolt that would shatter the cliff, sending the Witch to her doom? As previously stated, art was created on two attached sheets, so that vertical seam transverses orange Witch image. Top center has "Out" pencil notation and bottom margin has some colored pencil production notations. Pinholes at corners, w/moderate aging to margins. Fine overall, but art displays nicely. A superb piece of art for this Disney classic.
