Item Description
Pair of 10x12" sheets of animation paper, each w/finished pencil/red colored pencil art of Little Hiawatha and bear cub as featured in "Good Housekeeping" magazine's adaptation of the 1937 Silly Symphony "Little Hiawatha." These are the second and fifth images (of five) from that adaptation. First sheet features image area measuring 6.25x8" and depicts Little Hiawatha tracking bear tracks, his bow and arrow drawn. Small bear cub looks at him w/surprise from behind tree stump. Second sheet features image area measuring 5.5x11-1/8" and depicts Little Hiawatha running away in fear after having come nose-to-nose w/curious bear cub, who is seen in bkg. Art was created by Manuel Gonzales. Margins have some scattered pencil hatch marks and small pieces of brown paper tape at upper left and at top margins. Sheets have even, lt. aging and trace of handling wear. Art displays Exc. Comes w/removed "Good Housekeeping" page featuring their adaptation of this classic Silly Symphony. Wonderful art.
