Item Description
All are on thin art boards w/5x16.25” India ink image areas w/three or four panels. 1962 dates are: Feb. 14 w/Uncle Willie hating to get put to work at home; Nov. 6 w/Moon trying to dress up and being kidded by Kayo; Jan. 31, 1963 w/Moon and Lord Plushbottom playing cards then Plushbottom talking in his sleep about Vegas as Mamie listens. Reverse sides have matching pencil sketches. All have “Ferd Johnson” ink signature and are complete w/ News Syndicate copyright strip. Third daily is autographed in ink “To my Good Friend Lloyd Hutchinson With Best Wishes Ferd Johnson”. All are Exc. Well drawn funny examples by creator Frank Willard’s long time assistant, given to fellow cartoonist Sam Lloyd Hutchinson, noted for creating Parky the Kangaroo.
