Item Description
10.5x15-5/8" thin artboard has original pen and ink art for page 23 of first issue of "Ms. Marvel" solo series that introduced Carol Danvers as Ms. Marvel. Art was for "This Woman, This Warrior!" storyline written by Gerry Conway and was drawn by John Buscema w/inks by Joe Sinnott. Eight-panel page features Ms. Marvel in every panel, racing through a maze, tearing a metal door off it's hinges to deflect a blast and finally arriving in last two panels to confront Spider-Man villain The Scorpion. Art has some editorial notations along margins and stamped "Ms. Marvel" title and hand-written page number at top margin. Top center margin has strip of aged tape, which does not affect art areas. Scattered handling wear/dust soiling. Fine overall w/art remaining VF/Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the actual comic book this art appeared in.
