Item Description
Each of the six thin artboards have 13x18" India ink image area. Published in "Rangers" #13. Storyline has Ensign Dewey and his crew in the Sea Devil sub sent to China. They torpedo a sub, dodge an attack, and arrive in Shanghai. Chinese pirates help them against Japanese attacks. Great Chinese Dragon image on first page. Pages have margin dust soiling and editorial notes, story text is missing here and there, leaving glue stains, scattered use of white correctional fluid. Sheets of protective acetate are taped to page fronts w/strips of masking tape at blank top and bottom margin edges. Image areas range from VG to Fine. Well drawn and historic early work by Ingels, who began his comic book career the same year this art was drawn. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
