Item Description
Original tour book for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band's "Born In The U.S.A." Tour. This tour was in support of Bruce Springsteen's massively popular "Born In The U.S.A." album released in 1984. It was Springsteen's longest and most successful tour to date. The tour was the first since the "Born To Run" Tour w/o guitarist Steven Van Zandt who had decided to pursue a solo career. Van Zandt, who was replaced by Nils Lofgren would appear a few times throughout the tour and in some of the music videos to promote the album. It was also the first tour to feature Springsteen's future wife, Patti Scialfa. The tour started in June, 1984 and went stateside and to Canada. In March, 1985 the tour went to Australia, Japan and Europe. It then headed back to the US for more concerts in which Springsteen and the E Street Band played to sold out professional football stadiums. The tour finally wound down in Oct. 1985 in Los Angeles. Book measures 11x14" w/28 pages. ©1984 T-Shirt Merchandise Inc. Book features many photos of the band and from the tour as well as Springsteen biographical timeline. Front cover has been signed in black felt tip pen by Springsteen, Lofgren, Miami Steve, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan, Max Weinberg, Clarence Clemmons, Danny Federici and Scialfa as well as "Little Steven" Van Zandt in blue felt tip pen. Lofgren has added "Believe!" before his name, Scialfa has added a heart sketch and Federici has added "Est 89" date, several years after the tour. Book has handling wear w/heavy creasing at upper left corner/spine w/some color touch-ups, though this does not affect any of the signatures, which still display Exc. Book is Fine overall. A classic "Boss" item to have signed. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
