Item Description
2x3.5" business card for Bruce Springsteen's first band "The Castiles" and these business cards were only used in 1966 and 1967. Springsteen led this band while still a student at Freehold High School in Freehold Borough, NJ. Card lists Gordon "Tex" Vinyard as the group's manager. Card was obtained from the family of a deceased band member who had held onto card for the past 47 years. The Castiles recorded two original songs at a public recording studio and played a variety of venues, including Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village. Vinyard's wife Marion said that she believed the young Springsteen when he promised he would make it big. Card has scattered handling wear w/moderate soiling to card's reverse. Card front still displays Fine. Rare and the first we've ever offered. A true piece of rock & roll history.
