Item Description
9x10.5" acetate sheet attached to bkg. copy on photo paper shows Batman and Robin portrayed in the style of Golden Age Batman artist Dick Sprang. Image area measures 6x9.25". From "The New Batman/Superman Adventures" package series that combined "Superman - The Animated Series" w/"The New Batman Adventures" produced by Warner Bros. Animation that aired on Kids' WB 1997–2000. This was from "Legends Of The Dark Knight" episode in which a group of Gotham City youths tell their stories about what they believe Batman to really be like. One story is reminiscent of the style of 1940s Batman artist Dick Sprang. A second is inspired by Frank Miller's 1986 limited series "The Dark Knight Returns" (see following item #1930). Cel has "WB Animation Art - Production Art ©2000" gold seal at upper left and is Exc. Comes w/Warner Bros. Gallery COA.
