Dated “19 April 85”. 7-3/8x7.25” sheet of personal stationary hand titled “The Real Ivey League” has India ink and color pencil art w/Steve Canyon and others wearing mortar board hats raising cups w/hand inked text at bottom “ All Of Jim’s Friends United To Wish Him Well On His Big Six-Oh! From Steve Canyon and Milton Caniff”. Includes other Caniff characters Dickie Dare, Poteet, Big Stoop, and Connie. Exc. Jim Ivey was long time editorial cartoonist on the Orlando Sentinel newspaper, opened the world’s first Cartoon Museum in 1967, and was co-founder and chairman of “OrlandoCon”. Wonderful image by legendary cartoonist for fellow cartoonist.
