Lot of five 7x10.5" limited edition hardcovers w/cloth binding w/matching slipcases published by Dark Horse Comics, Inc. Written by legendary comic author Frank Miller, the series of neo-noir comics originally appeared in "Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special" in April, 1991, and continued in "Dark Horse Presents" #51–62 from May, 1991 to June, 1992, under the title of "Sin City," serialized in thirteen parts. Several other stories of variable lengths have since followed. All stories take place in Basin City, with frequent recurring characters and intertwining stories. Included in this lot is a collection of the first storyline "Sin City" (aka "The Hard Goodbye") in hardcover format. Published in 1995 in a limited edition print run of 1,000, this is 227/1,000. Next is "The Big Fat Kill," published in Aug., 1996 in a limited edition print run of 1,000, this is 301/1,000. Next is "That Yellow Bastard," published in Sept., 1997 in a limited edition print run of 500, this is 47/500. Next is "Family Values," published in Oct., 1997 in a limited edition print run of 500, this is 164/500. Last is "A Dame To Kill For," published in Dec, 1997 in a limited edition print run of 1,000, this is 70/1,000. Each book has been signed in red felt tip pen by Miller on a page featuring his artwork, w/most being an image of a nude female character. All books are NM/Mint as issued w/Exc./NM slipcases.
