Item Description
1" with a rounded "donut" style frame that was originally silvered although silver has evaporated leaving a darker brass finish. Frame is decorated with a wreath of flowers each separated by two leaves. Each man has his full name on the ferrotype above his portrait. The Douglas emulsion has all over craze lines showing only in reflected light. Emulsion is 99.9% complete. Johnson is similar, but much brighter, although there is a 1/16" flake off the right background. Overall, near VF and a quite scarce frame style.
