10-3/8x13.75" c. 1916 sign for Des Moines, Iowa team includes text "Greatest Of All Traveling Colored Clubs" with space at bottom for place and date they will play. Center area has five different photos with captions. First is titled "The Team" showing ten members in uniform with youngster at front of line holding large "Capital City Giants" pennant. Other four images include Manager Sigler and players Otis Moore, Frank Brown, George Neal. Bottom has text promoting Hopkins Sporting Goods store. Sign is printed by L.W. Holley. Sign has been professionally cleaned and mounted, but still has some lt. tanning in a few areas. Bottom margin edge has been trimmed slightly unevenly as mounted. Image area overall VG.
