Item Description
4.75x6-7/8" card stock menu folder for event held February 7, 1944 at The Palace of Cristal in Habana, Cuba. Front cover has photo of 1943-44 championship team in uniform including Dihigo standing in center of back row. Inside has menu in Spanish and back cover lists years between 1879 and 1944 when the team won the championship. Front cover has attendee's name "Salvador Hernandez" written in ink at bottom who was a member of this team. Elected to the Cuban Baseball HOF in 1997, Hernandez played in the Cuban Leagues 15 seasons between 1935-51. Ten of those seasons were with Habana. Trace of lt. dust soil and aging. Fine. Extremely limited distribution. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
