Item Description
4.5" tall c. early 1900s high quality hand painted German bisque, though not marked Germany. Gaston is shown in typical classic bowing position holding valise container. Exc. Created by F.B. Opper the comic strip featuring a bumbling pair of overly polite French men first appeared Sept. 22, 1901. The pair are constantly bowing to each other, preventing them from getting anything done. Wonderful detail and great for display.
