Item Description
This large and heavy enamel on silvered brass badge measures 1-7/8" tall. Reverse has vertical pin and the back is stamped both with a serial number "396" plus the name of a maker in Sydney. Front of the piece reads across the top red panel "Press." Below this is symbol of "Australia" and the words "Commonwealth Accredited/Royal Visit." Given the quality of the piece we believe it is from the 1930s. Only example we've seen and NM displaying Mint. Morry Greener Collection.
