Item Description
All dates are copyright dates but some of the books are likely later printings. Each is hard cover with dust jacket published by Grosset & Dunlap. Each is 5.25x7.5" with page count ranging from 176 to 218. Highlighting the group is the very first Lone Ranger book ever published titled “The Lone Ranger” ©1936. Dust wrapper has some wear around edges with small chips gone here and there most noticeable at spine tips. Back cover has some dust soil. Outside page edges have some light foxing. Overall dust jacket VG+, book clean, tight and Near Exc. Remaining titles are all written by Fran Striker. Remaining titles numbers (if any) and dates are: “The Lone Ranger” 1936 w/no mention of Dubois and no frontispiece illustration as published, “The Mystery Ranch #2" 1938 (two editions with one appearing to be first edition which has frontispiece illustration by Paul Laune), “The Gold Robbery #3" 1939, “The Outlaw Stronghold #4" 1939, “The Lone Ranger And Tonto” 1940, “The Haunted Gulch #6" 1941, “Traps The Smugglers #7" 1941, “Rides Again #8" 1943, “Rides North” 1946, “The Silver Bullet #10" 1948, “On Powder Horn Trail #11" 1949, “In Wild Horse Canyon #12" 1950, “West Of Maverick Pass #13" 1951, “On Gunsight Mesa #14" 1952, “The Bitter Spring Feud #15" 1953, “The Code Of The West #16" 1954, “Trouble On The Santa Fe #17" 1955, “On Red Butte Trail #18", 1956. Last title has color photocopy dust jacket, otherwise all books have original dust jackets as issued. Most dust jackets have scattered wear around edges with a few small chips gone here and there, most noticeable on spine tips. A few books have gift inscriptions but overall group is Fine/VF. An instant collection.
