Item Description
15/16" with rim hole as made. This example is listed as DeWitt/Sullivan 1860-92 and shows DeWitt's Lincoln portrait Number 2 combined with the Hamlin portrait like that on DeWitt/Sullivan AL 1860-97. Each side has the candidate's name and neither is followed by a period. There are accents of olive sprays with two leaf clusters. The circle enclosing each image is pearled and the edge of the piece is reeded. The Lincoln emulsion has the very tiniest bit of near microscopic bubbling at the extreme left side and showing just the slightest bit in reflected light with no actual emulsion loss. The Hamlin side has some very tiny areas without gloss but this shows only in reflected light and there is no emulsion loss whatsoever. The rim retains NM luster. A beautiful example NM.
