Item Description
11.75x24" high quality laminated wood frame has plastic title plate on front with text “Bringing Up Father George McManus Oct. 22, 1943". Archival mat reveals India ink original with 5 1/8x17.75" image area with four panels with whole family shown. Jiggs comes home late and gets yelled at by Maggie in first two panels then daughter Nora walks in acting cheerful in panel three and says “Goodnight” in panel four as Jiggs and Maggie look stunned. Art is signed by creator George McManus in ink in panel four and is complete with pair of King Features Syndicate tags. Wonderful ink work especially in panel two silhouette. One syndicate tag is missing bit of surface paper, otherwise art is clean and Exc. A prime example ready for display.
