Item Description
Die-cut cardboard display is 7x12” designed to be assembled and hold a boxed pen in place for display. Great image of Mickey holding and pointing to one of these pens with text “Hello Folks! Here’s The Mickey Mouse Ink-D-Cator Fountain Pen With The Gauge/Made With Same Care As High Priced Pens – Gives Equal Satisfaction.” Display also includes original printed price of $1.00, quite expensive for its day, pen was produced in 1935 by the Inkograph Co. Inc. This company produced 2 different models, one without a Mickey head attachment on top of screw cap and this model #53 which has the Mickey head. Mickey’s name also appears on pocket clip and image appears on pen point. Body is missing a Mickey decal. Pen shows wear from use. Fine. Display has .5” split at lower right corner of die-cut portion with neat glue repair. O/w just tiny trace of wear and remains totally bright and glossy with great color. VF. A rare display, first we’ve offered in our 44 years. From the Bruce Cervon Collection.
