Item Description
“Jack Armstrong’s Chart Game - Adventures With The Dragon Talisman” 20x26.5” paper map/gameboard folded as issued by Wheaties in 1936. When opened, map reveals facsimile letter from Jack Armstrong and mentions enclosed brass talisman which could be used as a “Watch Fob, Neck Piece Or Pocket Piece.” Map/gameboard features overview of Southeast Asia plus designated trail to follow during game play and this features many small related illustrations of native people, scenes, plus large image of talisman. Rules and directions are printed on bottom margin. Margins have 4 tan spots about .25” in dia. and just a few other smaller and barely noticeable. Five of the 6 punch-out game markers are present and numbered 2-6. The other 2 Mint pieces to complete the game are a 3x3” cardboard spinner and 1.25” dia. metal talisman with bright gold luster and green accents. Brass medallion pictures fierce dragon with Chinese inscription below. Inscription translates to “China, The Key To The Door Of The Room Is Very Precious.” Also included is Jack Armstrong Secret Whistling Ring. Ring has Egyptian symbols on each side and was a 1937 Wheaties premium. Top has working siren whistle that takes much lung power to operate. Ring retains vast majority of original glossy luster. While it is unfortunate game is missing a piece, over the years we’ve offered very few examples of this close to 100% complete.
