Item Description
2” dia. with large winding stem and loop. c. 1910. This pocketwatch was the first timepiece to feature a comic character, browntone image of Buster Brown and Tige appearing above “Buster Brown Shoes” text. Maker is unknown but watch dial is marked “Made In USA.” Nearly all silver luster gone from top rim edge but nearly all other luster remains including case back. Raised crystal edge appears to have some clear glue staining. Dial is lightly aged. Overall Fine and running. Early and Scarce. From the Jerry Howell Jr. Collection.
