Item Description
Pair of 2.5x2.5x.75" deep tin litho banks. "Superman" has classic image of him breaking chains while 3 sides feature "Superman" comic book title logo. Reverse has black metal design with sliding trap door. c. 1940. ©DC Comics. Superman is depicted with fleshtone hands and face, a variety was also produced with these areas in white. "Popeye" bank is ©1956 KFS Inc. Top features image of Popeye juggling coins on yellow bkg. Sides feature illustrations of Olive Oyl with Oscar, Wimpy with Rough House and Swee 'Pea on red bkg. This bank was produced in a variety of different colored bkgs., back is blue with blue trap door. Traces of paint wear around edges with bare metal showing. Both banks are Fine.
