Item Description
7.75x10.25" unpaginated, first edition hardcover book by Harry Whitney McVickar published by Harper & Bros. Publishers in 1896. Cover and title page feature interesting tri-leg design featuring womens' legs in skirts, bloomers and britches. As expected, story deals with women through the ages from the Garden of Eden through c. 1900 including ancient Egypt, ancient Rome and the Puritans. Women of various countries are also featured. Book ends with women getting rid of men. Cloth-bound hardcover has heavy dust soiling to cover which is VG with lightly aged pages, named inked on inside front cover. Exc. overall.
