Item Description
10.5x16" thin art board featuring original pencil art by noted comic book artist Curt Swan (1920-1996), best known as the artist most associated w/Superman titles during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books. Swan produced hundreds of covers and stories from the 1950s through the 1980s. Offered here is the original art for page 15 of "Superman" #282, published by N.P.P. in December 1974. Issue was written by Elliot Maggin w/interior art by Curt Swan and inks by Kurt Schaffenberger. Storyline "Lex Luthor-Super Scalp-Hunter!". This issue features first appearance of Lex Luthor's Battle Array. Seven panel page shows Superman in all panels and a Battle Array suited Lex Luthor (his classic purple and green outfit) falling towards the earth's core after turning Superman into a teenager and increasing his gravitational weight.
