Item Description
13x20" artboard features pen and ink original art for page 51 of Katy Keene Pin-Up Parade #6, published by Archie Comics March 1959. Art is by Bill Woggon (1911-2003), creator of Katy Keene. Art is for second page of story satirizing the rising popularity of rock and roll music, w/Katy's date arriving w/radio blaring. He proceeds to dance around as Katy dresses (seen in lacy slip) and Sis informs her of the destruction being created by the dancing rocker. Katy appears in two panels. As for Katy's slip and the outfit Sis is wearing, readers were encouraged to submit original drawings of outfits/accessories, w/chosen designs given credit between panels as seen in this page. Top margin has inked "K.K. Pin Up" title abbreviation w/issue/pages numbers. Stamped title appears at bottom center margin w/penciled issue/page number. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Art is clean and Exc.
