Item Description
13.5x20" comic artboards have pencil original art and inks by Bill Woggon (1911-2003). Published by Archie Publications December 1959. Art is for Pep Comics #136 page 11-16 for the complete story "Katy Keene Bags A Bird". Half splash first page shows Katy and Randy talking about going pheasant hunting. The gag is that Randy hides an already shot pheasant for Katy but thanks to a clumsy shot, she accidentally knocks out a rabbit, a bear and a moose. A surprised Randy sees that Katy bagged four with one shot. The story ends with Katy explaining that the rabbit, bear and moose got up and ran away later, after all, we wouldn't want to think Katy Keene killed any poor animals. Good natured humor as expected from Pep Comics. Artboard has some lt. aging/handling wear. Issue identification in pen in top margin. Comic Code Authority stamp on backs. Art is clean and Exc.
