Item Description
Seven Craftint artboards measuring 14x18.5" to 14x19-5/8" feature pen and ink original art for complete seven-page story originally published in DRAG Cartoons #29 in 1966 by Dennis Ellefson. Art is for High Gear story featuring obvious Archie parody afraid of standing up to the Fink Miller Gang in race, only to get in "A Good Ol' Comic Book Type Fight," emerging w/knife in his back and arrow through his chest. Archie-lite proclaims he's still leaving only to change his mind at the promise of a date w/another racer's very voluptuous sister, causing Archie-lite to turn into a monstrous version of himself. Archie-lite eventually has to face down Fink Miller himself in a race (w/first panel of race featuring preliminary blue inks only), resulting in Archie-lite's car giving out. One panel features clear parody of The Beatles. First artboard has text paste-over underneath main title. Bottom left of each page has inked page number and upper left corners have staple holes. Artboards show some scattered aging/handling wear but art remains clean and Exc. Great 1960s content. From the Archives of Publisher Pete Millar.
