Item Description
15-5/8x19.5" sheet of art paper has been mounted to larger 19x19-7/8" artboard and features the wizard Elgan in unicorn form from the illustrated fantasy novel Urshurak by Jerry Nichols. Urshurak had been conceived by The Brothers Hildebrandt as a concept for a fantasy movie which never came to be, instead published as a New York Times bestseller novel in 1979. Fully realized and highly detailed graphite original art depicts classic profile image of Elgan as unicorn, complete w/the wizard mustache and beard. Art has been inscribed "To John From Tim And Greg" at bottom right in pencil. Art paper has large square of even aging as matted and framed over the years. Lower left has 1-1/8" tear, that slightly infringes upon Elgan's hoof. Art paper has some scattered handling wear and is VF overall and would make for nice framed display.
