Item Description
8-3/8x12-5/8" sheet of paper has been mounted to slightly larger artboard and featured nicely rendered pencil original art by Dick Sprang (1915-2000), best known for his work on Batman during the Golden Age, redesigning the Batmobile in 1950 as well as creating the original design for Batman villain The Riddler. Art depicts Batman and Robin from the waist up, Robin reacting w/surprise as Batman smiles. Lower right has large "Sincerely - Batman And Robin" inscription. Paper originally had vertical fold at center and had separated into two pieces, but as now mounted, displays nicely. Paper is evenly aged w/slight, thin streak of darker aging along original fold line. VG overall but VF for display as mounted. Comes with COA from Sprang's Estate, signed by his art agent. Dan Makara Collection.
